Alfa Romeo finds new colors. After the good start of the Giulia, the sedan, the brand continues with the commercialization of Stelvio, the first SUV in its history.
To become “the new benchmark” of the market, Alfa quits, the Italian will have to win against the new Audi Q5, Porsche Macan and Jaguar F-Pace.
To mark the spirits, the Italian brand struck hard by putting first on the version Quadrifoglio, whose power reaches 510 hp. In terms of style, the Stelvio can be summarized in a simple way: it is a Giulia SUV. The car, which takes its name from an Italian collar with 75 hairpin bends, measures 4.68 meters in length. Inside, too, there is an obvious link with the Giulia. This presentation does not give the impression of being in a 4×4, a choice assumed by the brand, which wishes to seduce the enthusiasts of driving.
Under the hood, the QV version houses a 510 hp V6, coupled with an 8-speed automatic ZF. This promises very fast gear changes (150 milliseconds) via the Race mode of the DNA profile selector. The range will consist of other engines. There will be the four-cylinder gasoline 2.0 turbo inaugurated by the Giulia Veloce. It develops 280 hp and a torque of 400 Nm. It will be marketed with the limited edition “First Edition” to 57 400 €. The price of Italian beats by far the tariffs of its competitors … Diesel side, the 2.2 should be proposed in 136, 150, 180 and 210 hp.
