The Renault Zoé e-Sport Concept was one of the big surprises of this Geneva Motor Show, a secret kept to the end, which is becoming rare.
Renault is racing in Formula E with e.dams and wants to make it known. After the TreZor and its electric motor transplanted directly from the single-seater, now the Zoé e-Sport Concept takes again the satin blue color of the stable and a datasheet that makes sparks.
Under the bodybuilding body there are no less than two electric motors, one at the front and one at the rear, developing cumulative power and torque of 460 hp and 640 Nm, each with its own battery of 40 KWh. The tubular chassis and the double front and rear triangle suspensions have been developed by TORK Engineering and are inspired by cars racing on ice.
For once, Renault does not put forward autonomy but rather performance, with a 0 to 100 km / h announced in 3.2 s, a maximum speed of 210 km / h reached in less than 10 seconds and 1 460 kg on the pilot scale including 450 kg of battery.
What should we retain from this concept? Probably nothing technical, but these are clues about a possible future restyling of the Zoe, especially on C-shaped daytime running lights integrated in the headlights to maintain aesthetic homogeneity in the Renault range.
